Because of rapid growth in demand for Fibre Technology, we are seeking for qualified and competent Technicians for immediate start to work with our business. This is a golden opportunity to improve your technical skills and experience. The overall responsibilities include installation, maintenance and repairing of telecommunication equipment’s and appliances such as telephones, modems and data transmission devices in homes, businesses and at network sites. You must have hands on experience, strong telecommunication and Fibre cable knowledge. Main Task Include but not limited
- Reads / implements fibre network design documents for a large fibre rollout
- Understands fibre cable route from the planning team as per which cables have to be laid * Verifies the proposed route to ensure that bend ratios meet manufacturer's specifications and industry standards
- Carries out fibre Optic cable splicing, jointing, hauling or internal cabling
- Meet strict KPI’s to meet internal and external customer expectations. Qualification and other credentials required for this role
- Candidate must have New Zealand or equivalent qualification in Information Technology/ telecommunication / Electrical specialized in Networking
- Minimum one year of relevant industry experience
- Should have Full clean New Zealand Driver License
- Should have current L1 STMS or willing to take complete trainings.
- Should have First Aid training / WTC1 / WTC3 or willing to complete compulsory training before starting.
- Willing to work extra hours, weekends
- Be competent with hand/power tools, and other technical equipment
- Be physically strong and fit for doing a field work
- Be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Prepare required paperwork in a timely manner
- Exceptional communication skills and relationship building skills
- Good knowledge about networking
- Have High Energy levels and great enthusiasm.
- No criminal record Work Area is mainly Gore ,Invercargill however you may be required to travel to these towns as per job requirement.
